Enrolment for EPAC 2026 is open: European Patent Administration Certification (EPAC): enrolment now open | epo.org

Enrolment opened on 15 April and will close on 15 September 2026.

The European Patent Administration Certification (EPAC) consists of four modules. 

Module 1 is designed as an ideal starting point for candidates beginning their EPAC certification journey. 
Upon passing Module 1, candidates receive the EPO Diploma in patent administration under European and international patent law.

Each further module covers a key area of European and international patent administration and leads to a separate EPO diploma: patent grant procedure, post-grant procedures including the Unitary Patent, and the PCT procedure.

Candidates who pass all four modules obtain full EPAC certification.

All four exams will be held on 5 November 2026, at the following times:
Module 1 – 9.30 to 10.30 hrs (CET)
Module 2 – 11.15 to 12.30 hrs (CET)
Module 3 – 14.00 to 15.15 hrs (CET)
Module 4 – 16.00 to 17.15 hrs (CET)
